MSG eG is one of the renowned players in the European market for inland water transports. The strength of the company lies in the actual availability of vessels from owner-boatmen, which are organized in the cooperative, and of the additional individual hold. The use of the entire MSG fleet is centrally managed by the company’s headquarters in Würzburg.
The more than 70 inland navigation vessels are specialized in the transport of dry cargo within the European waterway network.
The shipping routes of the MSG fleet include all relevant routes throughout Europe on the waterways of the Rhine-bordering states (the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland), the Main-Danube channel, and the Danube area (predominantly from and to Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary)
Thanks to an immediate access to the comprehensive hold, even huge order quantities can be transported for the customer reliably and on schedule to different locations in Europe within a short period of time. Furthermore, the size of the fleet guarantees that a large part of the market is covered.
